My name is Galia, which in Hebrew means "the waves of God". I enjoy exploring, and putting together the "drops" of the varying interesting things which life has to offer... like in mosaic!
Using different techniques I combine shapes, colors, sizes and ideas within my works. This allows me to create in a unique and distinct fashion, while also to convey my personality through my art, as well as splash my energy and positivity around, like the waves in the sea...
I love people and I connect to others, to their dreams and desires. I can actualize your fantasy in works of art that preserve them in a special way.
I am originally from Israel, and have lived abroad for many years in different countries such as Nigeria and Serbia.
I love to travel to new places, and to expose myself to unique sights and beauties, different cultures and different forms of art, as well as varying worldviews.
In fact in the country I am from, Israel, the mixture of people with different backgrounds from around
the world is a trivial thing. From East or West, modern or conservative, coming with different beliefs,
mentalities, cuisine, as well as languages, prayers and traditions. Each and every person brings what is
special about where they are from to create a conglomerate.
Growing up in a place like this allows for great versatility. If you are open-minded enough and have a
wide-ranging outlook on things from different perspectives, it contributes greatly to your creativity
and to develop knowledge and curiosity.
Growing up in such an environment for me is particularly inspirational for my art, as it is especially
beneficial to expanding your outlook.
The goal of my works is to exhibit beauty, beliefs, aspirations, and any wish one's heart is set on, and display this in a unique and artistic manner.
Mosaic allows for a connection between the desire and the artistic idea itself, in addition to the combination of a range of materials, colors, textures, and different surfaces and layers. My mosaics are pieces of fine art that can be expressed in different classifications, styles and forms; those of which can be both classic and out of the ordinary.
This includes:
Visual Art: walls, ponds, environmental surfaces, etc.
Decorative Art: images, decorations, etc.
Applied Art: coffee tables, frames, boxes, clocks, etc.
Examples of the works can be seen in the gallery section of the website.
Most importantly: my works can be anything that is on your mind!
